- Will Smit Review added: 2018.10.04★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Not the original castle but a superb replica building with some of the original castle features remaining and a fascinating story behind it. The castle's in a lovely setting with fantastic views when you get to the top, there is plenty of wildlife on the site and the associated church is worth a visit as well. Just a shame about the modern day graffiti etched into the stonework...off with their heads!!

Highly interesting moat.
No cooked food onsite - always a treat at those NT properties that have it.
No charging point(s) for electric cars.
